If you find horoscopes interesting, I highly recommend checking out http://www.dailyom.com/ and their daily horoscope email. I find them often incredibly insightful and they offer me many opportunities to take a deeper look at my life and my choices.
I stopped at Life Time Fitness to make sure the front desk position was still open, since I applied for it last night. Lucky me, I got to talk to the Manager herself, and give her name, so I'm thinking I made a good impression and will get a call from her on Tuesday. Wow, I hope so. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get that job, it would make passing my PT test in October much easier! The coffee job is progressing slowly, I sometimes feel bad because my manager is such a newbie. But ah well. He means well and it will get ironed out eventually. I totally dig a free 1lb bag of coffee each week!
I really enjoy my weekly Sunday email from Astrocenter.com and this is why...
Your Inner World
Saturn has just moved into the twelfth house of your chart, ROX, where it will help you to get a grip on some of the issues that are located in your subconscious mind. You are partly aware of them, and yet may not know the full extent of these matters and how they truly affect you. This is a chance to understand how you sabotage your own best plans, and to begin to do something positive about this, including perhaps healing such matters over time. You will find that you have much more energy available to you as you do so. This week is great for reflecting on your life and on what you really want. But do be careful of those Freudian slips of the tongue on Monday, which could get you into trouble. Something you say quite innocently may cause offense, so watch your words. You may be tempted to jump on a plane and take a break as an antidote to too much boredom and routine. Do not leave other people in the lurch if you do this, and make sure that you deliver on your promises. Mercury moves into your sign on Wednesday, which will help you to express your feelings and share your thoughts.
Even the daily emails aren't bad, when I bother to read them. (Note: make sure you know what time and where you were born, because it makes pinpointing astrological influences on a weekly basis easier. ;) But I love Liz Greene's insights into astrology, and she's at astro.com and that's more for the serious-minded-astro-geeks out there. Log In, go to Free Horoscopes, Liz Greene does the Relationship one and the current special Astrology for Lovers (a book which I have which I LOVE because its not afraid to be cruelly blunt.) Make sure you don't just input your own data, though, because Liz Greene works off of a relationship dynamic. Input someone else's (even a sibling's it doesn't matter) and then view the results when you combine the two (I did me and a good friend, then switched the position of our names, his first & mine second, and got additional information)

Libra is the great perfectionist of the zodiac. You use the words "fair" and "equal" a lot. You believe passionately in fairness, which can cause you unhappiness, because life and people aren't always fair. You also believe passionately in equality, and here, too, you may encounter unhappiness, because finding a relationship where each partner gives and takes exactly the same amount and loves the other equally is like finding a unicorn.
No doubt you believe in unicorns too, and you're prepared to go on searching for that perfect companion, that perfect career, that perfect environment where no human mess intrudes. You're forever seeking the Good, the True and the Beautiful. And in your eternal efforts to change the world and make it a place where the Good, the True and the Beautiful can make their abode, you're likely to genuinely succeed in making life just that bit better and more beautiful.
No matter how many times you get out of balance, the path between the extremes will always beckon with its gentle light, and the search for perfect equilibrium will always ensure that your life never stagnates. And maybe you recognise a secret that lots of other people don't see: that it's genuinely possible for human beings to be more than they are: more Good, more True and more Beautiful.
Gads.. there's so much more..
If you enjoy tempestuous, violent scenes with slammed doors and smashed crockery and lots of tears and torn clothes, choose another sign. If you're big on heavy silent atmospheres, that's not going to go over well either. Although it's certainly possible to drive a Libran to the point of real explosiveness, it takes a lot of work, and afterward you'll find that, far from enjoying all that passionate intensity, your Libran partner loathes every minute of it, loathes you, loathes herself for reaching that disgracefully bestial level of behaviour, and never forgets it.
I love it. That brutal honesty is something I relish.
"You Libras are in an astrological phase when you'll have great success if you try to exorcise ghosts, fantasies, and projections that might be interfering with you having actual relationships with real soul friends and soul mates."

I saw an interesting post on my homescreen about Tree-ology (celtic like, sort of). According to the list, I'm a Hazelnut!
Hazelnut Tree (Extraordinary) -- charming, sense of humor, very demanding but can also be very understanding, knows how to make a lasting impression, active fighter for social causes and politics, popular, quite moody, sexually oriented, honest, a perfectionist, has a precise sense of judgment and expects complete fairness.
Wow. Pretty accurate, if I may say so!
I have added links. It is quite difficult to restrict myself to only 5 (I have just over 10 on my Livejournal) but s'okay. Not all are equal. I only miss not including my public radio and broadcasting links, and a couple of my non-vox, non-lj blog-friends. :( Sadness. If you want to discover whom I find fascinating, wander ot my typepad or my livejournal.
The typebad has blogrolling on the side bar. But warning: I hardly post to Typepad. It is my "more serious" thoughts. Actually more like a storage dump for interesting to me tidbits, primarily astrology related. It also contains quite a few old old old diaryland imported posts that look like crap from which began when I went active duty after 9-11, but it was a whole lot of nothing.
Ahem.
So, the links.
Ideal Bite is a FANTASTIC daily email. I highly suggest you sign up. If not, but you'd like a taste, ask me and I will forward one of my faves to you. If that doesn't wet your appetite I don't know what will. You Grow Girl is great for the Garden Hoes and Dirt Luvrs in all of us. Oh My Gods is a lovely little online comic strip done by a guy in Southern Illinois (somewhere.. I think Champaign but I'm not sure). Think Pagan humor with cartoons that look like SouthPark, almost. I love the giggles I get from it. Free Will Astrology is a very interesting weekly-updated astrology site. Prepare to have your mind blown (like today's gem). And, last but by no means least, Mighty Goods is one of the best random shopping sites out there! Really. It soothes my shopping-beast soul.
I find archetypes, or at least these archetypes (because I am familiar with their manifestations in my life), to give me insight into not only these bits of astrology, but my actions and self-perceptions.
I am "The Artist", "The Diplomat", or "The Lover", all Sun-in-Libra archetypes.
My soul is "The Authority", "The Prime Minister", or "The Boss", all Moon-in-Capricorn archetypes.
And, the mask I wear is "The Healer", "The Wise One", or "The Invisible One", Cancer-rising archetypes.
I've bolded the one I believe to be more dominant, and italicized the one I feel less often.
I really wish I knew the exact source for these, but I love them. I will skim my books when I get home from work today to try and find it.
"Dear Rob Brezsny: Two months ago I met the first person with whom I am completely psychic. We fell deeply in love, of course. But it turned out that neither of us was ready or able to fulfill the potential of our connection because we are nowhere near as profoundly in love with ourselves as we are with each other. The good news is that through my love for him, I have intensified my desire to learn to love myself. The bad news is that we can't really be together as fate intended until we upgrade our self-love. -Lucky Yet Unlucky Libra."
Dear Libra: I hope your testimony will inspire other Libras to boost their luck in love by deepening their love for themselves. Astrologically speaking, it's a perfect time to attend to this worthy project." -Brezsney
Wow.

The full moon tonight was fabulous. I saw it rising on the horizon and it was huge. I think this is the Wolf moon, but I honestly can't remember. :/ Astrologically, the full moon was in Gemini. Make of that what you will.
Retrograde alert! December 5: Saturn turns retrograde
Saturn turns retrograde once a year, giving us time to review our lives and make sure that what we're aiming for is still what we want. (Retrogrades are always about going back over territory you've already been through.) This retrograde period will last until April 19, 2007. Saturn represents our responsibilities, our rules for living, how we construct our lives, and where we need to put our boundaries. There are areas of your life now where it will be important to step back, review and see how you can support yourself more effectively. Facing limitations and ending of old ways of living may be a part of this time. -source Astrology.com The Stars This Week
Understanding that the people you encounter each day have their own reasons for their behaviors can help you avoid feeling scrutinized or negatively judged. It can be tempting to assume that others are forming opinions about your personality based on each action you take, particularly when you’re feeling insecure. Your assumptions, however, can cause you to feel resentful toward people. By letting go of your assumptions, you can live your life in the way you feel is best and move forward confidently and without reservations. You can base your thoughts, actions, and feelings on your internal compass, rather than striving to please others. When you choose to not second-guess others’ motivations today, you can act freely.
