I can't put into words how sad the season finale has made me. I guess it is a decent ending to so many of the characters, but it did NOT make for a happy ending. And, I didn't keep count of how many times I said "WTF?!" but it was a lot.
Ugh.
At least that is one t.v. obsession I can toss out. I've eliminated InuYasha/Adult Swim from the tivo season pass because it's restarted at the beginning of the series. Now all I feed obsession with is Samurai Champloo and Naruto off the Comcast ONDemand stuff (free, of course). I've also tossed aside my $40/day with Rachel Ray. That has always been a moody watch, and 9/10 times I don't want to watch.
YESSS! New Samurai Champloo on OnDemand. I've previously posted the 7th ending theme to InuYasha with Namie Amuro as something I can't stop myself from listening to. And, as I started to watch Samurai Champloo, I realized that I could not force myself to skip past the intro. I just really like it. Even though the first time I heard it was like "wtf is this?!" because it didn't fit the stereotypical anime intro I expected. I can be won over. (Hmm maybe I should have kept that quiet.)
Enjoy!
I have succumbed to the InuYasha obsession. I'm not really a fan-girl, I don't think. But the show looks so good, where it is at on Adult Swim, and the story is actually interesting. I wonder if my problem at the beginning of the series was the sloooow buildup of plot between Kagome and InuYasha. It was such a forced relationship it was literally painful to watch. But now I'm loving it. And I especially like the ending theme with Namie Amuro singing "Come". It isn't often that I want to watch the ending of EVERY episode, even when watching 4 in a row.
What TV show(s) will you be watching this season? Why?

My re-newed obsession is the Nick anime Avatar: The Last Airbender. I started watching it last year with my 13year old sister, and its anime style, silly humor, and the plot sucked me in. But it was played so randomly on NICK, and I watched tv so rarely because I was always at school or working, that I lost touch. Now I am truly spoiled with cable, and soon a tivo.
Sad, but no other anime is really grabbing my attention. Full Metal Alchemist looked interesting, as did Naruto, but I'm so behind that trying to figure out what is going on is difficult, and when I tried to start watching Trigun.. I just wasn't happy. I'm an critic, and watching the anime in English, which appears to be poorly translated or done poorly, annoys me. I wish I had the Rurouni Kenshin series in japanese with subtitles!
